Our Corporate Aircraft experts were on hand at the annual European Trade Fair for Business Aviation (EBACE), which took place in Geneva. May this year saw a record number of new models, new examples of safety and performance technology and new exhibitors.

EBACE is the leading European trade fair for business aviation and this year without exception there was a feeling of optimism in the air 2008 boasted a record number of new models and exhibitors demonstrating the continued drive towards investment in the industry. There were over 440 exhibition stands and the show attracted in excess of 13,000 visitors, up 21% on last year.

As a leader in corporate aircraft financing, we were on-site to talk to individuals and companies about how to structure finance solutions to meet their aviation needs. Examples included a loan for a used Falcon in Switzerland and, stage funding for the delivery of a new Citation VLJ in the UK.

Our attendance at EBACE is always well received and it provided us with an excellent opportunity to strengthen our existing relationships with our customers, major manufacturers and operators whilst developing relationships with new charters and operators from Western and Eastern Europe.

The event was also significant for GE Capital Solutions for another reason. This was the first time experts from GE Capital Solutions and our newly acquired DISKO AeroFinanz unit were exhibiting on the same stand. This year we were able to offer customers a strengthened team with an even broader geographic coverage and asset expertise.
